42. Maison de Francois 1st

Paris 1899 ref: GOAP 0159

Built as a hunting lodge in Fontainebleau Forest, the Maison hosted the magnificence and splendour of the 16th century royal court. Moved to Paris in 1826, here the two opposing figures perfectly bookend the composition with its important decoration.
