One day seminar and launch of King Charles 2nd  charter of grants of land to Solomon Richards, founder of the family which built Monksgrange. Further details to be announced.

Illustrated lecture at Enniscorthy Library, Covid permitting, 'The letters of Edward Richards of Monksgrange,  1856-1897.' Copies of 5500 letters reveal local and international contacts and commentary on politics, trade, commerce, travel, family and local goings-on in this now digitised archive of great educational  benefit and a source of local history.

This a recorded talk which can be accessed from the Irish Georgian Society website, 'events' tab, and 'buy a ticket.' The cost goes to the IGS not the lecturer!

Monksgrange250 - Live your Heritage. A symposium celebrating 250 years and ten generations. Featuring launch, by Prof. Roy Foster, of Monksgrange Portrait of an Irish house and family, 1769–1969 by Philip Bull. Lectures by Prof. Sean Duffy, Dr. Edward McParland, Robert O'Byrne, Anthony Hobbs and Susan Corr.

Registration from 10.00 for 11.00 am start. Finish by 5.00pm, ticket includes snack lunch.
